Christopher Brown
Christopher Brown is the creator and host of Cross Border Interviews and Municipal Affairs online shows dedicated to municipal issues and storytelling. With over 20 years of experience in media and municipal administration, Brown has become a respected voice in local journalism, recognized for his thoughtful and engaging interviews.
Hailing from Newcastle, Ontario, Brown discovered his passion for storytelling and public affairs early on. He earned a Journalism diploma from Loyalist College and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Queen’s University, laying the groundwork for his career in media and governance.
In 2019, Brown launched Cross Border Interviews as a platform to delve into untold stories and important conversations. His journey took a challenging turn on July 25, 2020, when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Despite this life-altering diagnosis, Brown remained steadfast in his commitment to meaningful storytelling, channelling his resilience into his work.
By 2023, the show underwent a rebranding to focus exclusively on local government issues, amplifying voices from municipal politics, policy experts, and community leaders. Brown’s incisive interviewing style and ability to foster candid dialogue have made the show a trusted source of information on local governance across Canada.
Now in its eighth season as of 2025, Cross Border Interviews streams across all of Canada’s provinces and territories and has gained an international audience.
