786. Village of Tahsis Councillor Sarah Fowler

Welcome to Cross Border Interviews, the online show where we dive into the insights of municipal political leaders from across Canada.

Our mission is to shine a light on the dedicated individuals who, day in and day out, work around the council table to shape the communities we call home.

Joining us for today’s episode is Village of Tahsis, British Columbia Councillor Sarah Fowler.

Tahsis sits at the head of the Tahsis Inlet, a fjord-like finger of water running 24 kms to the open Pacific Ocean. Tahsis is surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful wilderness and abundant wildlife.

Tahsis is a friendly and active community which is home to 500 year round residents and about 1500 in the summer. Tahsis offers very affordable real estate with the amenities found in much larger municipalities.

Most residents and visitors are avid outdoor enthusiasts, including many avid anglers. In addition, Tahsis hosts annual celebrations like Tahsis Days and Salmon Enhancement Derby.
