805. Cariboo Regional District Director Barbara Bachmeier

Welcome to Cross Border Interviews, the online show where we dive into the insights of municipal political leaders from across Canada.

Our mission is to shine a light on the dedicated individuals who, day in and day out, work around the council table to shape the communities we call home.

Joining us for today’s episode is Cariboo Regional District Director Barbara Bachmeier

The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) in the Central Interior of BC. The Cariboo and Coastal mountain ranges hug the CRD on its west and east side boundaries. The region straddles Highway 97 from 70 Mile House in the south to 5 km south of Hixon in the north.

Incorporated in 1968, the CRD has 12 electoral areas and 4 incorporated municipalities. Municipalities include Quesnel, Williams Lake, 100 Mile House, and Wells.
