Blessed with rich agricultural land, the municipality is populated by multi-generation farm and ranch operations; as well as newcomers who have moved here to enjoy the pristine landscape and excellent services.

Oil and gas continue to bolster the local economy and tourism has become a growth industry for the region.

One of the largest wind farms in Canada testifies to the forward-thinking character of this small but mighty municipality.
