Election day is fast approaching, and party leaders are crisscrossing Canada in the early days of the 45th General Election.
During the campaign, we will be speaking with Municipal Leaders from all corners of the province to see what municipalities want in this pivotal election.
From housing to infrastructure, From bail reform to resource development, and from agriculture to social services, municipalities across Canada are tackling a wide range of challenges.
But they can’t do it alone. They need a strong and reliable partner at the federal level to help build stronger, more resilient communities.
The Federation of Canadian Municipalities is a unified voice for advancing and advocating for Municipal issues across Canada.
Today we are joined by the Chair of the FCM Election Readiness Working Group, Portage La Prairie, Manitoba Councillor Joe Masi.
We will chat with Councillor Masi about the realities municipalities are faced with, how FCM is working with municipalities across Canada, and what the working group is doing to prepare the ground work for the next federal government after April 28th.
So, without further ado, let’s go!
