Today on the show, we are going full Alberta Municipalities.
Last week we were live on location at the 2023 Annual Alberta Municipalities Trade and Conference Convention in Edmonton Alberta.
We have the results of the Alberta Municipalities Presidential Election and all other board member elections.
We have reaction from newly elected President Tyler Gandam about the three day conference and his vision for the future of the Municipal Organization.
Federation of Canadian Municipalities President Scott Pearce was in attendance at the conference and we had the opportunity to ask him a few questions about his travels across Canada to different municipal conferences.
We also have some follow up on two stories we talked about earlier last month, both regards resolutions that were put forward at this years conference.
We also had the chance to chat with two Muncipal leaders in Northern Alberta who are leading a charge in making Municipal Tourism a Priority with a fun Project called, “The Munici-Pals”
And finally diverting from Alberta Municipal News, the Atlantic Mayors Congress met in late September in Newfoundland and Labrador, and we caught up with Port Hawkesbury Mayor - and President of Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities - Brenda Chisolm Beaton about the congress and the key takeaways from the two day meeting.
