One-on-One: FCM CEO Carole Saab

Welcome to Municipal Affairs, I’m Christopher Brown.
In today's episode, we have an important episode ahead of a major event in the world of Municipal Governance and Advocacy.
Today we are honoured to have a one-on-one interview with Carole Saab (SAH-AB), the CEO of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM).
The FCM is at the forefront of empowering local governments across Canada, striving to enhance the quality of life for residents. From tackling the housing crisis and building resilient infrastructure to spearheading climate change adaptation efforts, Canadian municipalities are on the front lines of our nation's most pressing challenges.
FCM's strength lies in its unity.
Made up of nearly 2,100 municipalities from coast to coast to coast, representing over 92 percent of Canadians, FCM harnesses a powerful collective voice.
This unity enables the organization to drive significant influence and achieve remarkable results.
As we approach FCM's annual convention in Calgary from June 6th to June 9th, today we will discuss the mission of this year's gathering, the pivotal role FCM plays in addressing municipal issues across our great county, the successes the organization has achieved since their last meeting in Toronto, and much more.
Stay tuned as we explore how FCM is shaping a better future for communities across Canada.
