In this episode, we’re focusing on one of the most significant gatherings for municipal leaders in Manitoba—the AMM Fall Convention. Every November, over 800 delegates from across the province come together for the Association of Manitoba Municipalities annual general meeting.

This year, from November 25 to 27, 2024, the convention will host elections for the AMM's Executive Committee, including the positions of President and two Vice-Presidents, each serving a two-year term.

One of the candidates running for Vice-President of the Manitoba Municipal Association is Sandra Smith, Mayor of Stonewall. We spoke with Sandra about her candidacy, her vision for the role, and what she hopes to bring to Manitoba's municipalities if elected.
